| Lassen
& Tahoe Trip July 2003 Every year for the last five years, my family and I have taken a trip up to Lake Tahoe, California (sometimes even a couple of trips) and this year was no exception. Unfortunatly, we are still in the process of moving and extra effort was needed to make it happen at all. Needless to say, our trip was a last minute kind of thing and we weren't able to get any wheelin in this time. We were however able to make a special detour to see Lassen National Park and visit my mom up in Chico, California. The photos below are just a small sampling that my wife and I had taken along the way. The first three rows are of Lassen Volcanic National Park and the paddle wheeler you see is the Tahoe Queen. The rest are shots we took on our way up to Eagle Lake, Susie Lake, Heather Lake and last but not least Aloha Lake. All the lakes are located in the Desolation Wilderness and can only be reach on foot. My family and I love Tahoe, but it's only because we love to explore everything around it.
